Where the money goes

The aim of St Martin’s Guild is to raise funds ‘The beautifying of the Church and its Parish and any other object in the Parish which the committee consider suitable’.

As a result over the years there have been various village projects which have needed extra financial support and the Guild has been able make significant donations.

For the Centenary celebrations in 2008, it was calculated that over the past 100 years the Guild has raised over ½ million pounds at today’s value, and approximately one third of the money available for distribution over the years has gone to local groups and organizations.
